报告摘要

Quantum adiabatic algorithm (QAA) was proposed in 2000 as an alternative way to design quantum algorithms. I’ll briefly review QAA by comparing it to the conventional quantum circuit algorithm (QCA). I’ll present a rigorous proof that any QCA can be converted into QAA  with the same time complexity. This proof indicates that how fast you can solve a problem on quantum computer is essentially a physics problem. In the end, I’ll briefly describe our recent efforts to find new and fast quantum algorithm with Hamiltonians. 


个人简介

吴飙,北京大学物理学教授。从事于凝聚态物理的理论研究,主要研究方向有超冷原子气、量子热化、量子算法、几何相位和非线性动力学等。
